Over the years Christopher Mark has photographed countless events ranging from the nightlife club scene, sporting events, weddings, portraits but what he is most known for his concert photography. Although music and concert photography is his specialty, he has chased his dreams into becoming a well versatile photographer and has fallen in love with wedding photography....
Recently, you have been shooting weddings, why?
"Wedding photography is something very special to me because my clients allow and trust me to capture the most important day of THEIR lives. I take that very seriously and I try my best to give them a product that 10 years from now they can look at my photos and remember that very special day and exactly what happened at that very specific point in time. It's honestly an honor to be asked to shoot a wedding. I still have many things to learn about it but one thing about photography is that it is ever changing and the learning will never stop!"
What do you shoot with?
"I am a Nikon guy all of the way! My dad shot with Nikon and my uncle still shoots Nikon. I'm not the type of person to bash on someone else if they use any other equipment, it's ultimately your tool that you're most comfortable with. The dream set up to me, would be to have dual D5's on my Blackrapid strap, my 24-70 and 70-200 on either of them and head out to an event. As of right now, I'm using dual D800's and they are phenomenal!"
What is your favorite lens in your bag?
"It's a toss up between my 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8, however the 70-200 has the slight edge due to it's sharpness."
What has been your favorite band to shoot?
"That is a question I get asked almost everyday! It's really the impossible question. I have shot some of my favorite bands I grew up listening to like Blink 182, The Ataris, Pennywise, Bouncing Souls, Bad Religion, Pearl Jam and NOFX but I have also gotten into Hank Williams III. I think some of the biggest shows have been Taylor Swift, Slipknot, Pearl Jam, Fall Out Boy, Imagine Dragons, Panic! at the Disco and all of the festivals I've shot like, Ufest, Warped Tour and Mayhem Fest."
